Empower. Evolve. Elevate.
You deserve to be seen, heard, and supported because you matter. At SKy Counseling and Consulting, the mission is to empower, evolve, and elevate. There is a strong value of diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and multiculturalism. The aim is to demonstrate the mission and values of SKy Counseling and Consulting in each encounter.
Things that happen in life and the world can cause significant distress, impacting our quality of life. Sheryl Kelly, PhD, LP (Dr. SKy) is a Black woman, proud member of the BIPOC community, and licensed psychologist. She has years of experience in supporting and providing therapy to individuals in various stages of their journey.
Dr. SKy understands the impact of having to navigate race-based traumas due to experienced oppression, and the unfortunate fact that this is a continuous journey. She gladly makes herself available to support those that are working through their own race-based traumas, wherever they are in the process. In addition, Dr. SKy is available to support individuals that are working to address issues of self-esteem, relationship concerns (i.e., colleagues; friends; family; relationship/couple counseling), boundaries, adjustment/transition issues, grief/loss, spirituality/religion, and all multicultural concerns. She prioritizes and values seeing the full person and all of the identities that they hold.
Dr. SKy is a generalist and her approach to therapy can be described as integrative, with a foundation in relational-cultural therapy. She is passionate about supporting individuals, especially those that are members of marginalized communities. Spirituality, religion, and faith are incorporated into the counseling process, if desired. The goal is to tailor each session to the individual while providing a collaborative and culturally responsive environment.
Dr. SKy looks forward to connecting with and supporting you on your journey!
